Argumentative Essay Writing Task Cards - Text-based!
Your Middle School students need practice with identifying claims, opposing claims, and relevant evidence, right? They can get that practice with these engaging PRINTABLE task cards! They are based on two original, included non-fiction texts about Easter Island.

Students read the two texts and then use these cards to practice with the concepts. You can do this in many ways, but my favorite is playing "Scatter" where I tape the cards up all around the room and students engage in a kind of scavenger hunt to answer all the cards!
Included in this resource:
★ 2 rigorous non-fiction texts about Easter Island
★ Prompt
★ 20 task cards
★ Vocabulary List of text-based essay terms
★ answer sheets
★ answer key
Your students will love that this gets them actively involved and you will love that they are practicing and learning these valuable skills with less work for you!
