Informative Essay Task Cards - Text-based!

Use these task cards to give your students practice with identifying introduction components like hook, "arch" (transition), and thesis as well as relevant and irrelevant evidence and commentary!

Students read the two texts and then use these cards to practice with the vocabulary. You can do this in many ways, but my two favorites are playing Scoot and Scatter. (Directions for both are included).
